Yesterday, we held a FSPA Family Fun House. It was very well attended and guests had a great time dressing up in costumes, working on autumnal arts and crafts, getting faces painted, playing games, instruments and simply having some good ol' fashioned fun.
One of our favorite activities of the day was making leaves to place on our Giving Thanks Tree. On the leaves, Fun House guests were asked to write what they are thankful for. It was so great to read everyone's thoughts - children's, teens' and adults' alike!
Underneath our Giving Thanks Tree, we also collected books and toys that we will proudly donate to Friends of Franklin for the holiday season. By the end of the day, the tree was filled with great sentiments and overflowing with books and toys. (We wish we had taken a picture then!!)
That we can have a very small part to help spread some cheer to families in need, well, this makes us very thankful indeed.
