Dear FSPA Community,
As we begin to see the light at the end of the pandemic tunnel, some FSPA students have been challenged recently by the virus. The timing going into the April school vacation was fortunate; the school and THE BLACK BOX have been cleaned and sanitized to get ready for our return to classes on Monday. It is impossible to determine absolutely where, when, and how students contracted the virus, but we think that possibilities for exposure include shared time in cars, maskless time at meals, and social gatherings without masks. We continue to have confidence in our protocols at FSPA and look forward to a successful finish to the school year. Here is some important information regarding the remainder of Trimester 3.
Effective immediately and until otherwise notified, there will be no eating or snacking at FSPA. Masks will be worn AT ALL TIMES with the exception of drinking water at a distance from others. Chairs will be set up in the tent at THE BLACK BOX for students who need a place to eat. Distancing is required. Any student in fifth grade or younger must always be accompanied by an adult. Intermission will continue to operate under restaurant guidelines.
Due to delays in shipments of Spring Concert costumes, we will allow additional time for filming Spring Concert performances. Information regarding filming dates will be provided by each teacher. Spring Concert will air beginning on June 26 at 4:00 and 7:00 and June 27 at 1:00 and 4:00. The shows will be available on demand, as well as for the premiere showings. Tickets are available on the website at www.fspaonline.com.
Registration reminder! Registration is now open for summer and fall! It is important to remember that scheduling of private lessons and placement in classes is done in order of date of registration. Especially if you have scheduling concerns, don’t delay!
I have confidence in the vaccines and the impact vaccinations are having on our return to normal. Now open to 16+, we can hope for marked improvement in the next few weeks. In the meantime, let’s remain careful, masked, and distanced!
Best,
Raye Lynn
