Goal: For 6 -7 year olds, this class serves as an introduction to tap dance for children. A proper foundation of tap technique is established through barre exercises, creative movement and center floor studies.

Goal:  This class serves as a transitional class from Intro to Tap to Tap II. Class is devoted to tap technique, teaching simple rhythms, dancing to the beat of the music and staying together as a group.

Class Schedule: Wednesday 5:30

 

Goal: For ages 9-11, Tap II is a continuation of components and skills learned in Tap I. The class includes added emphasis on technique, body placement, terminology, history and further development of simple rhythms.

Class Schedule: Thursday 4:30

 

Goal:  Students continue to further develop the skills learned in Tap II. Increased emphasis will be placed on proper technique, execution and terminology.

Class Schedule: Monday 6:30

 

Goal:  In this class, focus is on clarity of sounds, creating and understanding rhythms, increasing speed and developing style. Previous training required. Advanced intermediate ages 13+ (younger by invitation only).

Goal: This class furthers develop the skills of advanced tap dancers. Placement by invitation and audition only.

Class Schedule:  Thursday 3:30; Placement by invitation and audition only

 

  

Goal:  For students ages 9-11, this class is an introduction to the principles of tap dance technique.  Students will learn the fundamental steps of tap dance. Includes basic one and two sound movements performed at the barre and simple rhythmic combinations in center

Class Schedule: Tuesday 6:30

 

Goal:  Tap Level B is for students ages 12 and up with little or no tap experience. Students will learn the fundamental steps of tap dance, correct tap terminology and develop the ability to maintain correct body placement.
